----------------------------------- mimi_44 Sun 08 Feb, 2009 Google Maps ----------------------------------- I have just recently started using Google maps,(been using Yahoo),and was really surprised. They have a street view with a full picture of a house, business, or whatever you were searching for! You can also pan down the street with your mouse. I thought the satellite view was cool, but this beats all. There are even pics of people walking, etc. How do they do this? A few years already. They actually have people drive by with cameras mounted on the vehicle and record the streets. Lots of detail in busy areas but its incomplete in many of the less popular places. Just as Mop said, its not exactly new... I see trees around my house that I cut down a few years ago.
